Ms. Wei Qian (Chairlady of the board)
Ms. Wei Qian , chairlady of our Board, chief executive officer of our Group, director and chairlady of the board of directors of our University, one of the School Sponsors and Controlling Shareholders. She is primarily responsible for overall management, operations and strategic development of our Group. Ms. Wei has over 10 years of experience in the education industry. In April 2007, she was a visiting professor at West Oregon University, the USA. She joined our Group as a member to the board of directors of our University on 30 May 2011. She was appointed as chairlady of the board of directors on 23 December 2019. Ms. Wei obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Economics and Trade from Beijing Technology and Business University in Beijing, PRC in July 2005, a master of science in economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong in November 2006, and doctor of philosophy from The University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong in November 2011.Ms. Wei obtained a higher education teacher qualification in June 2014, and obtained the qualification of associate professor in December 2018 granted by the Office of the Leading Group of Title Reform Work of Guangxi Foreign Language School. In December 2020, she became qualified as a senior economist granted by Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Mr. Huang Da (Vice-chairman of the Board)
Mr. Huang Da, vice-chairman of our Board, director and vice-chairman of the board of directors of our University, one of the School Sponsors and Controlling Shareholders. He is primarily responsible for overall management, operation and strategic development of our Group. Mr. Huang has over 10 years of experience in the education industry. He was appointed as a director of our University on 30 May 2011, and was re-appointed as vice-chairman of the board of directors of our University on 23 December 2019.Mr. Huang has been the general manager of FEOSO Zhengyuan Investment Group Limited Company , a company principally engaged in real estate and premises rental, real estate development, investment, commercial information consultancy and logistics activities, since September 2006, and is primarily responsible for its overall management. He has also been the general manager of Nanning Huichang Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., a company principally engaged in real estate development and construction and renovation businesses, since September 2006, and is primarily responsible for its overall management. Mr. Huang obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Beijing Technology And Business
University in Beijing, PRC in July 2005, and a Master of Science in Finance and Management from the Loughborough University, the United Kingdom in December 2006. Mr. Huang became qualified as a senior economist granted by Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in May 2018.
Ms. Huang Weibin ( Vice-chairlady of the Board)
Ms. Huang Weibin, vice-chairlady of our Board, director and vice-chairlady of the board of directors of our University, one of the School Sponsors and Controlling Shareholders. She is primarily responsible for overall management, operation and strategic development of our Group. Ms. Huang has over 4 years of experience in the education industry. She was appointed a director of our University on 25 December 2017, and was re-appointed as vice-chairlady of the board of directors of our University on 23 December 2019. Ms. Huang obtained a bachelor’s degree in Management from Guangxi Normal University in Guangxi Province, the PRC in June 2016, and a Master of Public Administration from the Macau University of Science and Technology, Macau SAR in July 2018.
SENIOR MANAGEMENT
Ms. Zhu Guiling
Ms. Zhu Guiling, is a director of the board of directors of our University. She is also one of the School Sponsors and Controlling Shareholders. She is primarily responsible for overall management of our University. Ms. Zhu has extensive experience in the education industry. Ms. Zhu co-founded Guangxi Dongfang Foreign Language College, the predecessor of our University, with Mr. Huang Chaoxiang and Mr. Huang Can in June 2004. She had been the chairlady of the board of directors of our University since then until December 2019, and was re-designated as a director in December 2019. She is responsible for the overall management of our University.Ms. Zhu graduated from the political science division of the Party School of the
Guangxi Committee of the Communist Party of China in Guangxi, the PRC, in June 1992. She obtained an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree (Administrative Science) from Maejo University in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in November 2019.
Mr. Chow Ka Wo, Alex
Mr. Chow Ka Wo, Alex, was appointed as our Chief Financial Officer on 17 September 2021 and is responsible for the overall corporate and financing matters of our Group. Mr. Chow is the founder, a director and a minority shareholder of FinWork Limited (currently known as Karl Thomson Financial Advisory Limited), a subsidiary of Karl Thomson Holdings Limited(currently known as Wisdom Wealth Resources Investment Holding Group Limited), a company engaged in securities finance activities and listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange (stock code:7), which carries on type 6 (advising on corporate finance) activities under the SFO and regulated by the SFC, since November 2000. He was the responsible officer of Karl Thomson Financial Advisory Limited between April 2003 and 9 September 2021. Mr. Chow served as an Executive Director of Shenyang Public Utility Holdings Company Limited, a H-shares company principally engaged in infrastructure construction and property development, and listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange (stock code: 747) from February 2009 to June 2013,
where he was responsible for overall financial management, planning and mergers and acquisitions, and Sino Katalytics Investment Corporation (currently known as Capital VC Limited), a company engaged in investment activities, and listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange (stock code: 2324) from January 2005 and was re-designated as an executive director in September 2005 until March 2010, where he was responsible for overall financial management and planning. Mr. Chow received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in the USA in May 1990 and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the Cornell University in the USA in August 1992.
